International Call for Written Contributions on Good Local Practice in Intercultural Governance
Subotica, 26th January 2010
LDA Subotica and its Partners announce an international call for written contributions on the theme “Good Practices in Intercultural Governance”. The writing languages, the translation and the final editing of the publication will comprise English, Serbian and Croatian. The paper will be presented during the School of Local democracy which will be held in Mostar in 2010. The set of Papers will be collected and evaluated during the final part of the implementation of the above-mentioned Project and further disseminated in follow-up actions. This publication will serve at identifying some of the key conditions of an effective and efficient public service delivery in a decentralised legal, administrative or fiscal environment for ethnically diverse local communities. The main aim is the development and the updating of the concept of responsive and transparent local self-government as a key actor to improve equal access to public services. Given this mainstream, several contributions on the processes of the management, organisation and administration of service delivery from the point of view of the responsiveness to different ethnic groups will be chosen. The research wish to include as well areas which traditionally are considered neutral and technical such as urban service management.
