Cultural Heritage of National Minorities. Subotica

The Round Table in Subotica City Media Centre has gathered around 30 participants, guests from the partner cities of Osijek, Mostar and Seged (HR) and it has been organized during the traditional celebration of the harvest days. On behalf of the hosting City of Subotica, the key note speaker was Mr. Petar Horvacki, vice Mayor, who talked about the multicultural coexistence of more than twenty ethnic minority groups living in Subotica with a long tradition of mutual respect for diversity of their cultural heritage. The Vice Mayor of the city of Osijek, Mr. Ivan Vrdoljak, reiterated the long tradition of cherishing good neighborly and friendly relations with the city of Subotica and he concluded his speech stating that efforts should be furthered to support the co-operation between local governments.
